INTERLEAVER OF MULTI-BAND ORTHOGONAL FREQUENCY DIVISION MULTIPLE ACESS SYSTEM

PURPOSE: An interleaver apparatus of a multi-band orthogonal frequency division multiple access(OFDM) system is provided to uniformly distribute errors which is longer than the traceback length of a viterbi decoder. CONSTITUTION: A symbol interleaver(210) interleaves each bit column by separating six bit columns of OFDM symbols to N bit columns. The symbol interleaver recombines N interleaved bit columns to the six bit columns of the OFDM symbols. A tone interleaver(220) separates output bit column from a symbol mapper by the OFDM symbol. A cyclic shifter(230) shifts the tone interleaved bit column.
