PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fiber-containing polymer film giving a solid polymer electrolyte film having sufficiently decreased impedance while keeping sufficient strength.

SOLUTION: The fiber-containing polymer film 40 contains a host polymer and fibrous substances 42. The fiber-containing polymer film has an orientation area where the fibrous substances 42 are oriented in a direction substantially parallel to a main surface of the fiber-containing polymer film and in substantially the same direction. The fibrous substance is composed of a polymer compound having an average fiber diameter of 100-500 nm and an average fiber length of 10-100μm. There is also provided an electrochemical device provided with the solid polymer electrolyte film produced by impregnating an electrolyte salt in the polymer film.
