PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve reliability of authentication processing for a service user and to improve security. SOLUTION: An authentication system 10 for authenticating the user by a service provision device 20 by collating user authentication information 1, being input from a service user (A) who makes a service request, includes an authentication auxiliary device 40 having an authentication auxiliary information generation unit 43 for generating authentication auxiliary information, based on the service request information from a user terminal device 30. The user terminal device 30 includes an information transmission unit 32 for transmitting the authentication auxiliary information to the service provision device 20, along with service request information and the user authentication information 1. The service provision device 20 includes an authentication decision unit 25 for authenticating the user when the user authentication information 1 coincides with user authentication information 2 stored in an authentication information storage unit 21, and when service contents included in the authentication auxiliary information coincide with the service request information.
