PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a chip antenna, which can suppress the increase of a manufacturing cost. SOLUTION: The chip antenna has a metal pattern 2 formed on a surface of a base body 1. The method of manufacturing the chip antenna includes a step (S10) of individually forming the base body 1, a step (S20) of forming a metal film 2A on an outer surface of the base body 1 by plating, a step (S30) of forming a resist pattern 3 on the metal film 2A, and a step (S40) of forming a predetermined metal pattern 2 on the outer surface of the base body 1 by patterning the metal film 2A with a resist pattern 3 as a mask.
