PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a latent image to appear without being restricted by an observing direction and to allow the latent image to appear further clearly when changing the observing direction into a predetermined direction that forms an acute angle to a base material. SOLUTION: This forgery preventive medium includes a background color region 11; a plurality of mark parts 12 provided in matrix shape on the background color region 11 in a different color from the background color region 11; a plurality of embossing 13 formed to constitute rows and/or columns in parallel with the arranged directions of the plurality of mark parts 12 in a predetermined region of the background color region 11 so that the top parts include the mark parts 12; and a plurality of embossing 14 formed to constitute rows and/or columns in parallel with the arranged directions of the plurality of embossing 13 outside of the predetermined region in the background color region 11 so that the color of the background color region 11 appears at the top parts. The bottom parts of the mark parts 12 and the embossing 13, 14 are formed in flat shape in which a direction parallel with one of the row and column of the arranged directions of the plurality of mark parts 12 is the longitudinal direction.
