<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sound volume control apparatus, a sound volume control method and the like by which a user can fine-adjust sound volume to a user's intended sound volume even during remote control while making an operational feeling of an electronic sound volume equal to that of a mechanical sound volume. Ž<P>SOLUTION: An operating signal from an operation device provided with an operating button to be depressed by a user is inputted. When the operating button is not depressed continuously for or longer than a preset depressing time, short-depressing control of an electronic sound volume is performed and in the case where the operating button is depressed continuously for or longer than the depressing time, long-depressing control of the electronic sound volume is performed. In the short-depressing control, while driving a motor, it is judged whether or not a position of a slider of a potentiometer is transited by preset one step on the basis of an inputted position signal. When the position is transited by one step, driving of the motor is stopped and the sound volume is changed for the one step. In the long-depressing control, on the other hand, the motor is driven while the operating button is depressed continuously, and the sound volume is changed while the operating button is depressed continuously.
