<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fermentation device for fermented milk by the appearance of which completion of fermentation of an object to be fermented charged in a container can be easily recognized, and which enables improvement in workability of a worker, notifies the completion of the fermentation of the object to be fermented, and is implemented in a simple structure at reduced production costs. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The fermentation device for fermented milk 1 includes: a heater 10 on which a container 3A charged with the object to be fermented 2 is placed and which is heated to have a prescribed temperature; a temperature detecting member 21 which is placed on the top surface of the heater 10 and detects that the temperature of the bottom part of the container 3A charged with the object to be fermented 2 heated to have the prescribed temperature reaches to a prescribed one; and a temperature notifying member 22 which notifies the completion of fermentation of the object to be fermented 2 charged in the container 3A based on the ground of getting to the prescribed temperature.
