PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily confirm how many times of fixed time records can be performed by an existing battery, that is, whether snap movie photographing becomes possible or not, by displaying a remaining time of the battery with the number of recordable scenes in a fixation time recoding mode. SOLUTION: In the fixed time recoding processing for starting to record a video photographed in an image-pickup section once an image-recoding button is operated, to stop the recoding automatically after a predetermined recording time is elapsed, and to record a video for the predetermined recoding time on a recoding medium as one scene, a remaining capacity of a battery is detected at first in a step S202. Next in a step S203, the possible recoding time of the video is calculated based on the detected remaining capacity of the battery. Subsequently, in a step S204, the number of scenes recordable in the fixed time recoding is calculated based on the calculated possible recoding time and the predetermined recoding time.
