<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accelerate the completion of correction processing in an image reader which executes correction of a sequence of respective images read from a document. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A multifunction device 100 performs read processing of reading images of document surfaces from both surfaces of a document per document surface and has a page number recognition part 200 and a display control part 201. In the case of a command non-input state wherein a sequence correction command is inputted by a user, the page number recognition part 200 recognizes page numbers of respective images on the basis of the read sequence of the images. In the case of a command input state wherein the sequence correction command is inputted by the user, the page number recognition part 200 recognizes page numbers of respective pages so that the sequence of the images is opposite to the sequence based on page numbers determined in the command non-input state. The display control part 201 causes an image display device 104 to start displaying an image for command input allowing input of the sequence correction command before the completion of read processing.
