PURPOSE: A data transmission/ receiving method in a wireless communication system and an apparatus thereof are provided to enhance the use of resources by selecting a modulation and encoding scheme in consideration of a channel state and the kind of data. CONSTITUTION: A data transmitting apparatus determines the priority of data(102). In addition, the data transmitting apparatus determines the priority of channels according to a channel state(104), and selects the modulation and encoding schemes for the data according to the priority(106). According to the channel priority, the apparatus selects the data transmission channel(108). The data transmitting apparatus transmits the data through the selected channel after modulating and encoding the data according to the modulation and encoding schemes(110).
