<p>The present invention relates to a terminal for providing medical information and a method for providing medical information using the same. The object of the present invention is to provide a terminal and a method using the same for providing medical information through: receiving information relating to ingredients or content of a medicinal, cosmetic, food, or beauty product through a product information input unit mounted on the terminal; detecting with user's personal medical information stored inside the terminal whether the ingredients or content contain(s) any allergen or component possibly causing side effects based on the user's constitution; and reporting the detection results through an output unit. To this end, the terminal providing medical information according to the present invention comprises: a product information input unit which receives information relating to the ingredients and content of a product; a personal medical information storage unit in which user's personal medical information is stored; a microcomputer which detects whether product ingredients which are input through the product information input unit include any ingredient causing side effects or allergic reaction in the user referring to the user's personal medical information stored in the personal medical information storage unit; and an output unit which displays detection results from the microcomputer for the user.</p> |
