PACKING FOR DEVELOPING UNIT AND DEVELOPING UNIT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress toner leakage from a developing unit when the developing unit is packed by using packing for the developing unit which is detachably attached to a body of an image forming apparatus while suppressing expense.

SOLUTION: Packing film 500 that composes the packing for the developing unit is PET form of about 0.05 mm to 0.1 mm that is bent over its total width in the direction along a rotary shaft of a developing roller 41 in an intermediate section and that receives elastic force since force is generated to cause the PET film return to its former flat configuration in the bent section. A leading edge section of the packing film is inserted in a gap between a developing roller 41 and a seal member 425. The leading edge section of the packing film 500 and the developing roller 41 are brought into a strong pressurized contact since the elastic force toward the developing roller 41 works on this leading edge section.
