<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for printing electronic mail, which selectively prints only a necessary portion without needing complicated operation. <P>SOLUTION: The method for printing electronic mail includes steps of: acquiring data on the electronic mail to be printed; determining a break between a mail body and one or more history sentences which are cumulatively added after the mail body of the data by one or more mail replies and/or one or more mail transfers, and a break between the history sentences; setting the history sentences dating back to a predetermined generation to be printed on the basis of the determination result while excluding the history sentences older than that from the printing; and printing the mail body and the history sentence to be printed by a printer.
