PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition exhibiting good processability for a highly damping rubber and, a highly damping rubber obtained by vulcanizing and molding the rubber composition for a highly damping rubber. SOLUTION: The rubber composition for the highly damping rubber includes a butadiene rubber in an amount of 30-70 pts.wt. based on 100 pts.wt. of the total of rubber components, where the rubber composition for the highly damping rubber contains 30-45 pts.wt. of an alicyclic hydrocarbon resin, 10-20 pts.wt. of a rosin-based resin and 3-10 pts.wt. of a phenolic resin, each based on 100 pts.wt. of the total of the rubber components.
