<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluid dynamic pressure bearing device and a spindle motor capable of filling a bearing clearance with bearing fluid simply and securely. <P>SOLUTION: This fluid dynamic pressure bearing device is provided with at least one fixed member and at least one rotatable member being rotatable relative to the fixed member. The bearing clearance filled with the bearing fluid is provided between mutually opposing faces of the fixed member and the rotatable member. At least one fluid dynamic pressure radial bearing and at least one fluid dynamic pressure axial bearing are arranged along the bearing clearance. An annular seal clearance having one end connected with the bearing clearance is provided to seal an opening end of the bearing clearance, and an annular liquid pool is provided so as to connect with the other end of the seal clearance. The maximum radius measured from a rotary shaft to an outer side wall of the liquid pool is larger than a radius measured from the rotary shaft to the seal clearance, and the minimum radius measured from the rotary shaft to an inner side wall of the liquid pool is smaller than a radius measured from the rotary shaft to the seal clearance. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
