<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display apparatus which is made thin and light in weight, and exhibits a touch panel function without causing hindrance. <P>SOLUTION: A liquid crystal display 1 includes: an active matrix substrate 2; a counter substrate 3 arranged to be opposed to the active matrix substrate 2; and a liquid crystal layer 4 arranged between the active matrix substrate 2 and the counter substrate 3. A first transparent electrode 22 and a second transparent electrode 23 are arranged on the counter substrate 3 so that they are opposed to each other while leaving a predetermined space between them and used for detecting pressed positions. When the counter substrate 3 is pressed, the first transparent electrode 22 and the second transparent electrode 23 are contacted with each other and connected electrically to each other to detect the pressed positions. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
