PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photoelectric sensor thereby a laser light source can respond time-wise precisely. SOLUTION: The photoelectric sensor 10 has a light-emitting part 12 for performing the light emission of a laser pulse 18 to a monitoring scope 24 by using a laser light source 14, and driving circuits 16, 30 for the laser light source which are constituted so as to put the light-emitting part in an operating state wherein the laser light source performs the light emission of the laser pulse or in the standby state thereof. Further, the driving circuits are constituted so as to put the light-emitting part in the standby state only before the light emission of the laser pulse, respectively. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
