<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface mounted oscillator which protects an IC chip, prevents a crack or the like, suppresses the change of an oscillation frequency, and surely maintains oscillation. <P>SOLUTION: In the surface mounted crystal oscillator, a container body 1 having recessed parts surrounded by frame walls on one main surface and the other main surface of a center pedestal 1a is provided, a crystal piece 2 is housed in the recessed part of the one main surface and tightly enclosed by bonding a metal cover 7 to an opening end face, an IC chip 3 is housed in the recessed part on the other main surface, and mounting terminals 4 are provided at four corners of the opening end face. In the surface mounted crystal oscillator, the other recessed part is made to be a space for housing the IC chip 3 by covering the opening end face with an insulating cover 10, electrically connected auxiliary terminals 11 are provided on one main surface and the other main surface at four corners in the insulating cover 10, and the auxiliary terminal 11 on the one main surface is electrically nd mechanically connected to the mounting terminal 4. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
