<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sound image localization control apparatus controlling a sound image localization position of a center component without being influenced by a reflected wave or a shielding in a vehicle room while holding a sound quality and a feeling of presence. <P>SOLUTION: A band division means 2 extracts an audio signal of an intermediate frequency component and a monaural component extraction means extracts only an audio signal of a monaural component in the intermediate frequency component to perform weighting corresponding to a right and left balance amount by a right and left weight addition means and to perform weighting corresponding to a front and rear fader amount by a front and rear weight addition means. Thereby, weighting processing corresponding to a front-and-rear direction or a right-and-left direction is applied only to the monaural component which has a reduced influence on the sound quality or feeling of existence in the audio signal of the intermediate frequency band in which much vocal sound is included, so that a localization position of a sound image is effectively controlled. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
