PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a window molding for an automobile capable of preventing the impairment of rain discharge performance caused by a rain discharging groove, and hardly generating abnormal noise caused by air storage. SOLUTION: A rain discharging groove 31 is formed at a back side of a head 24 of a side molding part 21 outside an opening side of a window glass fitting groove. The depth of the rain discharging groove 31 from a window glass fitting groove opening side edge 24b at the head 24 of the side molding part 21 is set to be smaller toward an intersection between the window glass fitting groove opening side edge 24b at the head 24 of the side molding part 21 and the window glass fitting groove opening side edge at the head of the roof side molding part.
