PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary damper in which generated braking is not temperature dependent and braking without change can be obtained even under high and low temperatures. SOLUTION: This rotary damper 1 includes a storage body 4 made of a synthetic resin for storing a viscous fluid 3 comprising silicone oil whose viscosity is reduced accompanying a temperature rise in an inner part 2, and a rotary body 9 made of a synthetic resin disposed rotatably in R1 and R2 directions with an axis O as the center in the inner part 2 of the storage body 4, and partitioning the inner part 2 of the storage body 4 along with the storage body 4 into two chambers comprising a chamber 5 and a chamber 6, and two chambers comprising a chamber 7 and a chamber 8.
