<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for assisting conversation in a vehicle, which prevents a person who speaks from hearing conversation voice output from a speaker. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The device 100 for assisting conversation in a vehicle includes: microphones 110 installed in each of seats in a vehicle and collecting sound in the vehicle; speakers 150 for conversation voice installed in the seats in the vehicle and outputting the conversation voices of occupants; a conversation voice extraction part 120 for extracting the conversation voices of the occupants from the sound in the vehicle collected by the microphones 110; and a conversation voice synthesis part 130 for synthesizing the conversation voices collected by the microphones 110 installed in the seats and extracted by the conversation voice extraction part 120 to prevent the extracted conversation voices from being output from the speakers 150 installed in the seats where the microphones 110 have collected the conversation voices.
