PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide "a safety assist device for a vehicle" that can effectively assist an operation to enable a vehicle-mounted function suitable for a situation around the vehicle. SOLUTION: The safety assist device includes a display means 12 for displaying information, outside-vehicle imaging means 20a and 20b for imaging a predetermined area outside the vehicle, a captured image display control means 11 for causing the captured image obtained by the outside-vehicle imaging means to be displayed by the display means (S11 and S21), a situation determination means 11 for determining whether the captured image shows a situation of the predetermined vehicle-mounted function to be enabled (S3 and S12), and an operation unit guidance display control means 11 for causing a guidance of an operation unit for enabling the predetermined vehicle-mounted function to be displayed by the display means when the situation determination means determines that the captured image shows the situation of the predetermined vehicle-mounted function to be enabled (S13 and S22).
