APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR CHANNEL ENCODING AND DECODING IN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM USING LOW-DENSITY PARITY-CHECK CODES

PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for channel encoding and decoding in communication system using low-density parity-check codes are provided to generate the LDPC(Low Density Parity Check) code having various block length using the given information of parity check row. CONSTITUTION: A basic parameter of a parity check matrix H2 to be generated is determined(510). A matrix portion corresponding to a parity bit of H2 is defined in a predetermined structure(520). The progression corresponding to the given information word bit of the parity check matrix H1 is called(530). The progression corresponded to through a process of being predetermined from the progression which shows H1 to the information word bit of H2 pitches(540).
