<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasound system for automatically detecting and displaying standard view information corresponding to an ultrasound image acquired from a target object, and the method. <P>SOLUTION: The ultrasound system includes: a storage unit storing a mapping table in which the standard view information of a plurality of standard view images classified into respective standard views of the target object and first feature vectors calculated from the standard view images are mapped; an ultrasound data acquisition unit for transmitting ultrasound signals to the target object, receiving ultrasound echo signals reflected from the target object, and acquiring two or more pieces of ultrasound data; an ultrasound image forming unit for forming an ultrasound image using the two or more pieces of ultrasound data; and a processor for calculating a second feature vector from the ultrasound image, retrieving the mapping table to select one first feature vector closest to the second feature vector, and extracting the standard view information pertinent to the selected first feature vector from the mapping table. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
