<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve excellent data transmission quality by suppressing influences of timing fluctuation caused by data dependent jitter for a non-encoded data signal. <P>SOLUTION: An optical transmission system comprises: an optical transmission module 1 which includes an optical transmission line 4 for transmitting a data signal as an optical signal, converts an optical signal transmitted on the optical transmission line 4 into an electric signal and outputs the electric signal; an electric transmission line 5 for outputting a clock signal; and a reception processing section 35 for receiving a data signal and the clock signal, respectively, and outputting a result as a binary signal. The optical transmission system further comprises a delay means 6 for delaying a rising starting time of the clock signal with respect to a rising starting time of the data signal for the binary signal. A delay amount of the clock signal due to the delay means 6 is suppressed equal to or less than a maximum value of data dependent jitter (DDJ), thereby suppressing influences of timing fluctuation caused by DDJ and achieving excellent data transmission quality. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
