<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a gel-filled array that is a capillary array bundling a plurality of capillaries each of which gel is filled into, by which method, forming of a cavity in the gel is reduced with excellent yield, and to provide a method for manufacturing a biochip with excellent yield. <P>SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing a gel-filled array that is a capillary array bundling a plurality of capillaries each of which gel is filled into, comprises the steps of: bundling and fixing a plurality of capillaries so as to conform their longitudinal directions to one another; filling from one end of each capillary into the capillaries a gel precursor solution which will form gel upon polymerization; and polymerizing the gel precursor solution to form gel in such a state that at least one end of each capillary into which the gel precurosr is filled is kept open.
