<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hull frictional resistance reduction device capable of easily maintaining an air chamber in which a plurality of air jet holes are formed on the bottom, and water-tightly sealed so that seawater does not enter inside of the hull. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The hull frictional resistance reduction device which reduces frictional resistance of the sailing hull by generating bubbles and forming a bubble layer 8 on the ship bottom includes: an air chamber 22a arranged on the ship bottom 5 inside of the hull; a plurality of air jet holes formed to be installed in a row on the ship bottom 5 being the bottom of the air chamber 22a; and a sea chest 35 arranged on the ship bottom 5 inside of the hull so as to cover the air chamber 22a.
