<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an A/D conversion circuit for widening the range of the level of an analog input signal whose A/D conversion is possible. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A pulse running part 201 has a plurality of delay elements for giving a delay amount in response to a magnitude of an analog input signal to a running pulse. A plurality of signal processing parts including a counter part 209 and a latch/encoder part 212 output a digital value corresponding to the running position of a pulse according to an input sampling clock corresponding to a different input level range, and output a digital value corresponding to the running position of the pulse. A switching part including three-terminal switches 206-1 to 206-6 switches the connecting status between the pulse traveling part 201 and the plurality of signal processing parts according to the level of the analog input signal.
