<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cosmetic composition which is excellent in skin gloss and transparency, gives an excellent sense of use reduced in tackiness, and can sufficiently exhibit the performance of an ultraviolet absorber. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This cosmetic composition contains an arbutin ester compound and an ultraviolet absorber. The cosmetic composition contains arbutin undecylenate and an ultraviolet absorber. Cosmetics, quasi-drugs, medical supplies, sanitary goods, or medicines having bleaching effects can be provided with the cosmetic composition containing the arbutin ester compound.
