RADIATION RECEIVER

A radiation receiver for transmitting the energy of incident solar radiation onto solid particles comprises a skewed plane (SE) on which the solid particles slide off in a controlled manner from an inlet device to a discharge (12). The radiation of a heliostat field is reflected from a secondary mirror (18) onto the skewed plane (SE). The particles that slide off of the skewed plane are heated up by the solar radiation and discharged to a tank (15). The particles constitute a thermal storage means from which heat can be extracted as necessary.
