<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operator generation method, an operator generation device, and a simulation device, which can suitably attain stability in addition to computing efficiency and accuracy in numerical analysis with a finite-difference time-domain method on the propagation of a seismic wave in a limited medium made of an elastic body. <P>SOLUTION: If P<SB>i</SB>represents a space first-order differential operator of a displacement vector at each discrete point acting on state vectors, and C an elastic constant matrix, then a stiffness matrix H' is designed in a form of P<SB>i</SB><SP>T</SP>CP<SB>i</SB>, or its linear combination. If T represents a positive definite diagonal mass matrix by difference approximation at the discrete point withδT<SP>num</SP>=T'-T, a mass matrix T' is designed so that the operatorδT<SP>num</SP>results in zero when the operator acts on the state vectors corresponding to rotation and translation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
