PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce manufacturing cost by reducing the number of components without impairing the functionalities. SOLUTION: A drum 23, whose outer peripheral part is wounded with a drive cable 13, is integrally rotatably assembled to a worm wheel 39. A drum cover 54 is provided so as to cover the drum 23, while being assembled to a gear case 31. The drum cover 54 is provided with a cylindrical part 57a for restricting movement of the worm wheel 39, in the longitudinal direction of a support shaft 45. Thus, it is possible to eliminate a snap ring, a washer, and a mounting groove required in the conventional motor with a speed reducing mechanism. Namely, in a power-window motor 20, the drum cover 54, which is normally the component on the window-regulator side is utilized so as to prevent the worm wheel 39 from coming off from the support shaft 45, thereby reducing the number of components without impairing functionality so as to attain reduction in the manufacturing cost by simplifying component management and a molding process.
