PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric resistance welded steel pipe which has excellent corrosion fatigue resistance after quenching and tempering treatment and is suitable as the one for a high strength hollow member. SOLUTION: The electric resistance welded steel pipe has a composition including, by mass, 0.19 to 0.40% C, 0.05 to 0.50% Si, 0.30 to 2.00% Mn, 0.10 to 1.20% Cr. 0.20 to 1.20% Al, 0.001 to 0.040% Ti, 0.0005 to 0.0050% B and ≤0.0100% N, and also including Ti and N so as to satisfy Ti/47.9>N/14 (wherein, Ti and N are the contents (mass%) of the respective elements). In this way, corrosion fatigue resistance after quenching and tempering remarkably improves as that of a high strength hollow member. Further, one or more kinds selected from Mo, W, Ni, Cu, Nb and V may be incorporated therein. Further, Ca may be incorporated therein. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
