PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method requiring no high-pressure reactions for simply and safely manufacturing hydroxyalkylpiperazines without using hydrogen having a high risk of inflammation. SOLUTION: The manufacturing method comprises subjecting dihydroxy(alkyl)ethylenediamines represented by formula (1) and the like to an intramolecular dehydration condensation reaction in the presence of an acid catalyst.
