PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sailor position recording system and a sailor position recording method capable of attaining the sailor's positional information without being dependent upon hearing about circumstances of sailors or a ship's journal. SOLUTION: This sailor position recording system comprises a position getting system 6 for getting positions of sailors carrying terminal units 2-1 to 2-M on the basis of radio waves outputted by the terminal units 2-1 to 2-M and a ship's communication device 51 for transmitting sailor position data 91 indicating positions of sailors from a ship 100 where the sailors take to a land side 8.
