PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vessel group lift-down device and a vessel group lift-down method, which do not damage stacked vessel groups having a variety of shapes, raw materials, rigidities, and weights despite the fact that the structure of the device is simple, adaptable also to the irregular arrangement of vessels, and capable of quickly lifting-down the vessel groups while removing the auxiliary materials inserted between the vessel groups. SOLUTION: This vessel group lifting down device 1 includes a holding and conveying device 10 having a suction head having negative pressure characteristics which can suck and hold a variety of vessels, a robot 3 as a means for moving the suction head, and a negative pressure supply means. The vessel groups and the auxiliary materials are integrated with each other by the suction head of the holding and conveying device 10, and the vessel groups are held and conveyed for a series of lifting-down operation. Namely, after the vessel groups 11 and a separate sheet 12 on a pallet 20 are sucked and held by the suction head, the separate sheet 12 is separated on an auxiliary material box 22 by a gripping means, and only the vessel groups are moved onto a discharge conveyor 21.
