<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which can suppress deterioration in function. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes: a data acquiring means for acquiring printing data to be a printing subject; a storing means for storing first attribute information including an attribute for color information that indicates color or monochrome by page regarding the printing data for which a printing process is completed; a confirmation means for confirming that the printing data to be the printing subject is the same as the printing data that is print-processed in the past on the basis of the second attribute information and the first attribute information regarding the printing data to be the printing subject that is acquired; and a printing mode setting means for setting to a color mode or a monochrome mode on the basis of an attribute value for the attribute of the color information regarding the printing data that are print-processed in the past in the first attribute information when the printing data which are the printing subject are confirmed to be the same as the printing data that are print-processed in the past by the confirmation means.
