PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remodeled door enabling remodeling by a covering method for an existing door frame, and having a pivoting space of an L-shaped step in cross-section, and left and right vertical frames with different depth sizes and different cross-sectional shapes. SOLUTION: A new door frame 2 of a rectangular integral unit is fastened to the existing door frame 1 by using a screw 5 via a mounting substrate fixed to the existing door frame 1 to execute remodeling. The mounting substrate has two different kinds in shape: i.e., a plate-shaped member 3a of an S-shaped or L-shaped cross-section to be used for a door-leading side vertical frame 11, a top frame 14 and a sill frame 15 of the existing door frame 1; and a columnar member 3b to be filled and housed in the pivoting space 13 for a hanging-side vertical frame 12 of the existing door 1. Accordingly, the mounting substrate is made to conform to the shape of the rear face of the new door frame 2 fitted and installed in the state of arranging the mounting substrate, and, thus the new door frame 2 is fastened by using the screw 5. The columnar member 3b has a C-shaped cross-section, and has a plate shaped reinforcement member 38 with a specified pitch fitted and welded in the longitudinal direction so as to assure the strength.
