A first laser beam (13) is permitted to intersect with a wire (7) and applied to a first irradiation position of a subject (6) to be welded, a second laser beam (14) is applied to a second irradiation position at a prescribed distance from a target position of the wire (7), and arc welding is performed between the wire (7) and the subject (6) by applying the first laser beam (13) and the second laser beam (14) so that the first irradiation position, the second irradiation position and the target position are on the welding line of the subject (6). Thus, a welding pool is prevented from becoming large, sputtering is prevented, and welding is performed at a high speed.
