<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recording method and an apparatus therefor capable of reducing the generation of concentration unevenness caused by variation in time taken from the application of a treatment liquid to the ejection of ink droplets and capable of recording good images. <P>SOLUTION: After the treatment liquid is applied onto paper 12, which is continuously conveyed, by an application roller 34, the paper 12 is intermittently conveyed, and the ink droplets are ejected by a serial-type recording head 82 onto the paper 12, thereby recording images. In this case, the time taken from the application of the treatment liquid to the ejection of the ink droplets is obtained, and the amount of permeation of the treatment liquid to the paper 12 is obtained from the obtained time.
