PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operation unit that prevents a lubricant applied to a sliding part from oozing out to an operation part through a corner part formed by a step face of a parting line and an outer surface of an operating member. SOLUTION: The operating member 9 of the operation unit is formed by integrating the operating part 14 with a plurality of protrusions 14a formed on its outer surface with the sliding part 13 supported slidably with respect to a case. Four parting lines PL extending in the axial direction of the operating member 9 are formed on the outer surface 9a of the operating member 9 in the circumferential direction thereof at equal angular intervals. A through-hole 15 with a rectangular cross-section which connects the outer surface 9a with the inner surface 9b of the operating member 9 is formed at a part corresponding to a parting line PL between the sliding part 13 and the operating part 14 in the operating member 9.
