PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve channel estimation accuracy in each band or at each frequency by making a radio parameter (such as a pilot length or a pilot interval) different for each band. SOLUTION: In a radio communication system, a frequency band to be used for radio communication is divided into a plurality of frequency bands including a first frequency band and a second frequency band separated on a frequency axis. In the first frequency band, a first parameter pertaining to a radio format is used in common and in the second frequency band, a second parameter pertaining to the radio format is used in common, so that the first parameter and the second parameter are different from each other.
