<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrode material for a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery with high discharge capacity and excellent cycle characteristics, and an electrode for a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery using the same, as well as a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery using the same. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The electrode material for a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery contains TiO<SB>2</SB>(B) and/or its element substitute, and satisfies following requirements (1), (2). (1) When a half-value width of a diffraction peak 'a' in which a diffraction angle 2θ in powder X-ray diffraction measurement using CuKα<SB>1</SB>rays exists around 22 to 27° is FWHMa, an FWHMa value is to be 0.6 or more. (2) When a half-value width of a diffraction peak b in which a diffraction angle 2θ in powder X-ray diffraction measurement using CuKα<SB>1</SB>rays exists around 43.5° is FWHMb, an X-ray half-width value ratio XFab value stipulated in a formula (1) below is to be 1 or less.
