PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an AF frame automatic tracking system enabling a user to suitably perform operation for instructing start of automatic tracking of an AF frame by double-tap operation on the picture of a display means (display) with a touch panel when performing operation relative to the AF frame by using the display means with the touch panel. SOLUTION: When a tap operation is performed on the picture 40a of the liquid crystal display with a touch panel for enabling the operation relative to the AF frame, the AF frame is set at the position where the tap operation is performed. When the double-tap operation is performed, the AF frame is set at the position where the double-tap operation is performed, and also automatic tracking of the AF frame is started with a subject at that position as a tracking object.
