PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent falling of an inspection object by mitigating a collision resistance when the inspection object passes an X-ray shielding member, and to prevent surely leakage of an X-ray to the outside of a casing. SOLUTION: The X-ray inspection device 1 includes: the casing 2; a belt conveyor 6 for conveying the inspection object W from an inlet 4a to an outlet 4b of the casing 2 along a conveyance route; an X-ray inspection means for irradiating an X-ray to the inspection object W in the casing 2 to inspect it; and the X-ray shielding member 10 provided so as to block the conveyance route so that the X-ray irradiated by the X-ray inspection means does not leak to the outside, and allowing passage of the inspection object W by abutment thereon. The X-ray shielding member 10 includes shielding plates 11 whose base end side 15 is positioned on the conveyance route, and whose tip side 16 is positioned on the furthermore downstream side in the conveyance direction Y than the base end side 15, and the shielding plates 11 are provided oppositely to a width direction Z of the conveyance route, and each tip side 16 of the shielding plates 11 is allowed to abut on the conveyance route to obtain a closed state, and is always energized so as to obtain the closed state.
