<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical unit that can solve the problem that a speckle reduction ratio is lowered if not using a light pipe. Ž<P>SOLUTION: Each of optical circulation cells 1 and 2 constituting an optical circulation cell group is configured such that incident light 31 made incident on an incident surface thereof being a transflective surface may become a plurality of outgoing light beams having different optical path lengths. Further, the optical circulation cells 1 and 2 are disposed without a gap therebetween, the side surface adjacent to the other optical circulation cell is a transflective surface, and the surfaces except the transflective surface are total-reflection surfaces.
