PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bleaching agent containing an unsaturated fatty acid monoglyceride. SOLUTION: The unsaturated fatty acid monoglyceride comprises any one of three hydroxy groups of glycerol, which is bound with an unsaturated fatty acid by an ester bond. The bleaching agent containing the unsaturated fatty acid monoglyceride exhibits an excellent bleaching action and excellent stability. The unsaturated fatty acid monoglyceride may be extracted from whole or part of plant or prepared by an arbitrary reaction. An unsaturated fatty acid monoglyceride on the market may be used.
