PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire for a motorcycle capable of relaxing only a stage difference in rigidity without hindering increase of the belt speed and, further, capable of improving stability when tilting a vehicle body. SOLUTION: The pneumatic tire for a motorcycle including an annular tread part 11 has a spiral belt layer 3 formed at an angle of 0-5 degrees to the tire equator direction and arranged at a width of 0.5-0.8 times the tread width inside in the tire radial direction of a crown part of the tread part 11 so that the center in the cross direction of the spiral belt layer 3 coincides with the tire equator. When the width of a part of the tread part 11 wherein the spiral belt layer 3 is not arranged is assumed W, a shoulder part reinforcing belt layer 4 is arranged adjacent to the spiral belt layer 3 at a width of 0.5-2.0W in the part wherein the spiral belt layer 3 is not arranged.
