<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve improvement in the operating efficiency of a motor in a control device for a vehicle motor that controls a motor mounted in a vehicle as the prime mover. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A control device 30 has an atmospheric-pressure detecting part 34 for detecting the atmospheric pressure, and a limitation-start-temperature setting part 36 that sets a limitation start temperature TL for starting the limitation of a load factor LDR of a motor 20, on the basis of the atmospheric pressure H detected by the atmospheric-pressure detecting part 34. Accordingly, it is possible to attain improvement in the operating efficiency of the motor 20, while taking into consideration the insulation performance of the motor 20, dependent on the temperature Tm of the motor 20 and the change in the atmospheric pressure H.
